T'd off with the US Postal Services

Have you ever been pleased that for the first time you were able to mail all your bills in advance only to find out the US Postal Service had not delivered them and now you have to pay late fees on the bills you though you had paid in advance. Well just this past December I had enough to pay all my bills in advance and with christmas that wasn't easy. So I mailed them all on the 17th Anyway come January I was notified by my utility companies that my payments were not received and I was charged an additional late fee. One after another it turns out there were 3 and to this day they have not been received. The US Postal Service told me it wasn't there problem they don't make mistakes and I must have put them in the wrong place. I know for a fact that was not the case because, I mail my bills directly into the big blue mail boxes right out infront of the post office so I know I was not the problem and the Post office had lost them. I was told that could not have happened. So now I have 3 checks out there somewhere and the utility companies want there money and are not willing to wait for the post office to find them. The only thing I can do is to Stop Payment on those check which is going to cost me $20 per check and the late fees. What is a hard working citizen to do? We have to pay for the increase in stamps only to have our important mail to go missing. And to hear them say "THEY DON'T MAKE MISTAKES" & "IT'S NOT OUR PROBLEM" That really T's me off!!! I think they should have something to take care of this problem. WHAT DO YOU THINK!!!
